How We Work Together

Every engagement is shaped around what your team actually needs. Some engagements happen inside your real meetings and working sessions — coaching and facilitating in the moment, as work unfolds. Others create space away from the daily pressure to reflect, reset, and move forward together. And some build specific skills that teams need but rarely get taught.

Workshops and retreats can be standalone pieces of work or part of a larger, ongoing engagement — depending on what makes sense for your team and context.

If you're not sure where to start, that's fine. Most people aren't when they first reach out. Start with a conversation and we'll figure it out together.

Not sure where to start?

  • One Meeting. Better. — Experience the work firsthand in a single real meeting

  • Clear Decisions. Clear Ownership. — Get unstuck on decisions and ownership

  • Team Pulse Check — Surface what's helping and what's getting in the way

  • 30-Day Leadership Support Intensive — Focused support through a demanding moment

If you're sensing something isn't working but aren't sure what kind of support you need, these four focused starting points are designed to create immediate clarity — without a large upfront investment.

Each is a complete piece of work in its own right — and can be the beginning of something longer if that's where things lead.

Ready to go deeper?

For teams ready to invest in how they work together over time. This is where the most significant and lasting change happens — through sustained coaching and facilitation inside the real work, over months rather than days.

  • This is the core of the work. I work alongside your team during actual meetings and working sessions — not in separate workshops or simulations. The team leader runs the meeting. I work from the side, observing how the team operates and offering coaching in the moment on decisions, dynamics, and patterns as they unfold.

This is team coaching as it's meant to be — in real work, in real time, with real results.

    Common focus areas:

    • How decisions get made and followed through

    • Roles, authority, and shared accountability

    • Trust, honest conversation, and psychological safety

    • Patterns that keep resurfacing despite good intentions

    • Staying grounded and clear under pressure

    What to expect:

    • Ongoing engagements, typically 4–8 months

    • Coaching inside real meetings and working sessions

    • 1:1 coaching with the team leader between sessions

    • Practical tools the team can use independently

Best suited for: Intact leadership teams of 3–8 people ready to invest in how they work together.

  • Holding the conversations that matter most.

Sometimes a team needs skilled, neutral facilitation to slow things down and move through something important — a strategic decision, a difficult conversation, or a reset after a challenging period.

I design and facilitate sessions where clarity, honest dialogue, and good outcomes are essential.

    Common topics:

    • Purpose, strategy, and priorities

    • Roles, decision rights, and ways of working

    • Navigating conflict or unresolved tension

    • Team resets after change, loss, or burnout

    • Cross-functional and multi-stakeholder alignment

    What to expect:

    • Thoughtful design grounded in your actual context

    • Clear structure with room for what emerges

    • Equal attention to outcomes and relationships

  • Building the practical skills teams need to work well together — especially under pressure.

These sessions focus on capabilities that are often assumed but rarely taught: how to have difficult conversations, make decisions under uncertainty, give and receive feedback, and stay steady when things get hard.

Formats include short workshops, modular series, or integration into existing leadership programs.

    Core areas:

    • Decision-making in complexity

    • Productive conflict and difficult conversations

    • Feedback, accountability, and follow-through

    • Staying grounded under pressure

Working across difference, power, and perspective

    Formats include:

    • short workshops

    • modular learning series

    • integration into existing leadership programs

  • For teams working across boundaries, roles, and organizations.

Some of the most important work happens in groups where no single person is fully in charge — boards, cross-functional teams, multi-partner initiatives, and community-based collaborations.

    I help these teams:

    • Clarify shared purpose and ways of working

    • Navigate differences and tension productively

    • Strengthen trust across organizational boundaries

    • Make collective decisions without forcing false consensus

  • Creating space for reflection, alignment, and renewed direction.

Offsites offer teams time away from daily pressure to pause and reset.

    They may include:

    • clarifying purpose and priorities

    • resetting agreements and ways of working

    • working through unresolved tensions

    • strengthening trust and connection

    • creating shared commitments for what’s next.

Designed to be grounded, practical, and followed through—not just inspiring in the moment.

  • For leaders who want to lead with clarity, presence, and care.

Individual coaching supports leaders to grow their inner capacity alongside their external effectiveness.

Individual coaching supports leaders to develop their inner capacity alongside their external effectiveness — particularly in high-pressure, complex, or high-stakes roles.

This is for leaders who are effective, and who know something needs to shift.

    Common focus areas:

    • Self-awareness and emotional steadiness under pressure

    • Navigating complexity, influence, and power

    • Reducing reactivity and building resilience

    • Aligning how you lead with what you value

This is for leaders who are effective—but know something needs to shift.

Working in the social impact sector?

Low bono engagements exist to support this work. Professional team coaching and facilitation offered at a reduced, flexible investment level — with the same rigour, structure, and commitment as any other engagement.

A limited number of these engagements are available each year.

Some of the most important work today is being carried by organisations with the least financial flexibility — nonprofits, Indigenous-led initiatives, climate action groups, and cross-sector collaborations doing essential work under real constraint.

How It Works

  • We begin with an honest conversation — not a sales call. You share what's going on, what the team is navigating, and what you're hoping to get from the work. Together we figure out whether there's a fit and what kind of support makes sense.

  • If there’s a fit, we agree on a clear, time-bound scope—including purpose, boundaries, roles, and ways of working.
This ensures the engagement is focused, ethical, and aligned with the realities of your work.

  • Focus areas are identified with the team, not decided in advance. Through conversation and observation, we surface where attention will make the greatest difference right now.

  • Coaching and facilitation take place inside real meetings and real work, supporting the team as patterns, dynamics, and decisions unfold. The emphasis is on learning in action and strengthening collective capacity.

  • Every engagement ends with a deliberate close — reflecting on what shifted, what was learned, and what the team wants to carry forward independently.

Not sure which path is right for you?

That's okay — most people aren't when they first reach out. Share a bit about what's going on for your team and we'll figure out together what kind of support makes sense.
